Serves 2
8 oz White Button Mushrooms
1 Garlic glove, crushed
2 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon Butter or Margarine
2 tablespoon white wine
4 tablespoon Sour Cream
2 tablespoon Fresh Parsley, chopped
In a sauté pan add the mushrooms, garlic, onion and butter. Stir and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes, add white wine and cook for 5 more minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the sour cream. Serve immediately.
Devonshire Mushrooms
6 servings
5 large potatoes
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons butter/margarine
1 lb lean ground beef
1 lg tomato, chopped
6 sliced mushrooms
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 dash worcestershire sauce
1 cup brown gravy
1 package (10oz) frozen peas or 1 lb peas shelled
Instructions:
Cook potatoes in salted water. Drain, cool and peel. Mash in large bowl with butter, milk and season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside. Saute' beef until browned, stirring to keep meat crumbly. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add tomatoes, mushrooms, parsley, tomato paste, worcestershire sauce and gravy. Stir to mix. Place peas in 9x12 baking dish, add meat mixture and place mashed potatoes on top. Place in a preheated 400 degree oven for 40 minutes or until top is crispy brown.
